The Maine State Housing Authority will conduct a public hearing on a Substantial Amendment to the Allocation Plan for the HOME-American Rescue Plan Program (HOME-ARP) on January 12, 2024.

The Draft Substantial Amendment for HOME-ARP Allocation Plan is available on the MaineHousing website at https://mainehousing.org/data-research/policy#FederalFunds

The Substantial Amendment revises HOME-ARP Funding. MaineHousing intends to allocate $13.3 million dollars to the development of Affordable Rental Housing.

The Amendment introduces preferences that will apply to all RFP applicants for the Rental Housing eligible activity in an anticipated second HOME-ARP RFP.  Preference will be given to the prioritization listed below:
Veterans Experiencing Homelessness
Chronically Homeless

Additionally in this second release of funding, MaineHousing will consider proposed projects that do not serve all the QPs.
