Serving people experiencing homelessness who also may have intellectual or developmental disabilities, or traumatic brain injury

Process for helping people homeless with ID/DD/TBI:

If you are a homeless service provider (especially working in a homeless shelter) and have a client you suspect meets the criteria for IDD or TBI and need some assistance in understanding how to navigate the system, you can contact Maine Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS) staff in your region for assistance.

Attached, please find a letter with the contact information, along with a three-step process to help address some of the complicated issues such individuals confront when experiencing homelessness.
