I write to ask if you could join me at the Capital in Augusta this coming Tuesday (March 29th) from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon to rally for equity issues in Maine? If you can’t make it, you can also email your representative and senator to talk about key issues (attached)! Please share this with others!
VOA Northern New England is a member organization of the Vision for An Equitable Maine (VEM) network. On Tuesday, March 29th, VEM will hold a press conference and we are asking for allies and partnering organizations to appear with us! The press conference will highlight our public policy priorities for 2022:
- Tribal sovereignty for the Wabanaki Tribes,
- health care for all regardless of immigration status,
- increasing affordable housing through zoning and land use reforms, and
- better public data and analysis on race.
I am grateful for your support with this important event. Feel free to share the attached flyer with your Representative and Senator on Tuesday if you can’t join us. Our collective response will demonstrate that we are stronger together!
