In an effort to better understand our community’s response to veteran homelessness, the VA has asked SSVF grantees (Preble Street and Veterans Inc), in coordination with the CoC, to complete a community planning survey. The intention is to give an honest and transparent view into our community so that the VA can better provide targeted support. Alley Smith (Veteran’s Inc) and I met last week to review the document and draft answers to the questions . We want (and need!) to ensure that the survey represents the perspective of the entire community so please take a look at the attached responses and provide suggestions and feedback as you see fit. In the coming weeks we will be meeting with the Veteran joint subcommittee and will continue to develop our responses. The survey needs to be submitted by 5/3.
